    In the debut episode of the STEAM Crew series, Captain Charlotte returns from space and is welcomed home by her friends Lieutenant Robbie and Super Space Scientist Lillian!

    Together, they discover that their hangout, the WayOut club, will be closing and only STEAM can save the day!

    Later, Charlotte and Sienna meet back up at the WayOut club and solve the secret behind the mysterious puzzle pieces!

    In this episode, the STEAM Crew visit DigiPen University where they learn how use coding to build their own video game characters!

    And what’s this? Sienna finds another piece to the WayOut club puzzle after another successful STEAM activity!

    The STEAM crew meet Rhea, the Slime Maker extraordinaire! Together, they use science, math, and art to make their very own batches of slime.

    Sienna shows up just in time to see the fun and share some good news - another piece to the WayOut club puzzle has surfaced!

    It’s time to build some robots! In this episode, the STEAM Crew spend the day learning about robotics with students from SOTA, SAMI and IDEA!

    Afterwards, their time spent exploring the world of technology earns them another puzzle piece! Keep up the good work, STEAM Crew - the WayOut club will be saved before we know it!

    After witnessing B. Lyte’s power of poetry, Charlotte becomes obsessed with creating a poem of her own. Only problem is that she’s struggling with Writer’s Block. Lillian and Robbie share some encouragement while Sienna explains the foundations of poetry!

    Remember, writing poetry is supposed to be fun and expressive! Let’s see what the STEAM Crew will create!

    Sienna teaches the STEAM Crew about different types of poetry, causing Robbie and Lillian to dive deep into the world of writing with Charlotte!

    One at a time, they recite their pieces in front of the group and Charlotte finally shares her free-verse poem that she worked so hard on! Hooray - the STEAMitists earn one more piece to the puzzle and set out for a trip to outer space.

    It’s time for beat maker with digital instruments! Sienna introduces Charlotte and Robbie to Michael - a talented music producer! He shows them the process of making a beat from scratch and challenges them to produce their own musical creation!

    After making an amazing song together, the STEAM Crew earn one of the last pieces to the WayOut club puzzle. Will they be able to find the last one in time to save their hangout?

    With just one more adventure to complete before earning the final piece to the puzzle, the STEAM Crew meet a master gardener to learn about composting!

    Being more proactive in protecting our environment today ensures that we can have a healthy world in the future. Let’s see how composting the food we don’t finish can be better for the environment than throwing it in the trash…

    The STEAM Crew spend more time in the garden learning about the role worms play in the process of composting! Together, they take what they’ve learned and build their own mini worm habitats that can be used at home!

    After returning back to Sienna, they realize they’ve completed their final STEAM activity once the final piece is discovered. It’s time to go back to the WayOut club and save the day!

    STEAM Crew | EXTRA | How to Make Worm Jars

    After learning everything they need to know about worm bins, the STEAM Crew go on a side quest to build habitats that they can observe at home!

    Layer by layer, they carefully construct mini bins that mimic a worm’s natural habitat and prepare them for the garden. How cool!

    This is it - the moment we’ve all been waiting for. With all of the pieces to the puzzle in hand, the STEAM Crew return to the WayOut club to save their beloved hangout!

    All of their hard work pays off when they are welcome back into the WayOut club and get to enjoy some of their favorite STEAM activities again! Congrats to our official STEAMitists!

    In this episode of the STEAM Crew, the kids explore the world of Macroinvertebrates as Enviro Educator Ryan helps them learn about all the aquatic life in Swan Creek, Tacoma, WA.
